Vendicari, Siracusa

On the southeastern coast, halfway between Noto and Marzamemi, you will find long golden beaches and the breathtaking landscapes of Vendicari’s Nature Reserve. This is where an entire ecosystem lives undisturbed and is sporadically revealed  between the dense vegetation, the clear sea ,the rocky cliffs and the deep blue sea.

Noto, is a delightful baroque town and one of the most beautiful sites protected by UNESCO.

Marzamemi is the fishing village of Pachino nearing the tip of Sicily.  Its name derives from the Arabic al-Marsa-hamem, which means “bay of turtledoves,” the last frontier of the island. This ancient fishing village has plenty of restaurants to choose from and is well renowned for its fresh fish and clear waters.

In the vicinity, you will find beautiful landscape and baroque towns like Ragusa, Scicli and Modica.

Last but not least, Siracusa is probably the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all. It is the jewel of this area where you can step in the Greeks’ footsteps in ancient Neapolis and stroll down the alleys of the picturesque town center of Ortigia.
