Location

Overlooking the gently rolling hills of “Notoshire“ with a view to the distant sea, the property spreads over 16 hectares of land. Here the farming is biodynamic emphasizing a holistic approach to the care of the existing old olive groves, the vineyards and new cultivation of fruit trees.

Layout

This former winepress dating back to the 18th century personifies its creators’ taste for charismatic and artisanal detailing like the smooth rendering of the facades, with an array of engaging contemporary finishes with the use of natural woods, vintage lighting and furnishings.

The Palmento Residence, in the main courtyard, began as a nineteenth-century olive mill. Now beautifully renovated offering three deluxe rooms of about 36 m2, each with its own veranda. These look onto a jasmine-filled terrace and the wonderful swimming pool faced with crystalline-colored natural stones, embellishing the garden and olive grove in all seasons.

Not far from the Palmento is The Ulivo Residence. An intimate one-room suite of about 37 m2 ideal for lovers requiring total privacy. It has its own private swimming pool of 12 x 3 meters (once an irrigation trough), now entirely faced in natural stones.

All the rooms are minimalist at heart, meticulously finished with quality bespoke fittings and natural contemporary furnishings mostly in natural fabrics and walnut, oak and elm furniture.

The Bougainvillea Residence is reached by a walkway that leads through a grove of beautiful olive, almond and fruit trees. Originally a small building for agricultural workers, it offers three deluxe rooms of about 30m2,  each with its own veranda, and one superior room of about 25 m2 on the first floor with a small terrace, all facing onto an organic garden and affording stunning views of the surrounding hills graced with Mediterranean vegetation.

• The Aqua Madre: A large organic shaped pool which evokes the natural marshes and ponds of the area is supplied with fresh water filtered by a special mixture of mineral salts, magnesium, potassium, iodine and mineral nutrients (also called “salts of life”), the virtues of which are renown since Antiquity and which reproduce the wholesome virtues of thermal waters.
• Ethical Energy Farm: Sustainability is the core philosophy at Country House Villadorata and thanks to the use of advanced green technologies (photovoltaic, thermal solar energy) it manages to produce most of its own electricity and water supply.
