Location

Hotel Borgo Di Mare lies in the serene village of Lingua, famous for its seafront promenade and private beach on the Island of Salina. It is only a short walk away from local restaurants and to the renowned Da Alfredo’s “granita” bar.  A little bit further is the harbor of Santa Marina with its fashionable chilled-out vibe and a wider selection of shops and restaurants.

Layout

On entering this secluded and private little “village” with its tiny alleys, steps and balconies that unite the various small and typical Aeolian-style buildings, you will be greeted by fragrant lush greenery and flora just a few steps away from its very own private beach.

Surrounded by clear blue sea, the premises look on to the neighboring islands of Panarea, Stromboli, Lipari and Vulcano. On clear days you can even see the ever-glorious Mount Etna!

This hotel is elegant and comfortably refurbished throughout.

All rooms are different, and you may choose from Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Junior Suites. Most have sea views, a private terrace or a balcony with a hammock or seating.

• The sea front – where large blocks of lava stone have been placed to protect from the rolling high winter waves – here you will find sunbeds and a small wooden pier leading into the crystal waters for easy and endless dips.
• The shaded bar area overlooking the sea. Here are served generous buffet breakfast that include fruit and cakes among other delicacies. There are daily papers for your perusal and some cool aperitifs are served here too! If you are feeling lazy to walk down to the nearest restaurant, Davide, who runs this gem, will arrange to have your meal sent to your terrace from a nearby restaurant!

• La Salina Hotel Borgo Di Mare overlooks the lighthouse and the small Lingua Lake, to which the island owes its name. Today the lake is home to migratory birds such as herons and pink flamingos.
