Location

Capofaro Malvasia Resort is a haven of peace on the greenest of the Aeolian Islands, the perfect place for getting away from it all. The mountainous backdrop offers some amazing trekking trails. And then the clear blue sea is best enjoyed by boat that can be easily hired. It is also just a five-km drive to Santa Marina, where a fashionable chilled-out vibe revolves around its piazza and main street flanked with restaurants, cafés and irresistible quaint shops and small harbor.

Its strategic position in Salina makes this a favorable starting point to island hop and explore any of the other six Aeolian Islands.

Layout

The resort belongs to the famous wine making family of Tasca d’Almerita who grow their typical Malvasia grape on 15 acres of vineyards.

The rooms are scattered in low-rise bungalows amidst grapevines looking out to sea. The small resort has retained its typical Aeolian minimalist architecture with a cool white, simple and uncluttered décor.

The 20 rooms are divided into four categories: double, superior, deluxe and suite. All rooms have a private terrace with a sea view that calls for meditation, breathing and dreaming. The interiors are simple, minimal, airy and comfortable.

All rooms have a terrace or garden of some sort featuring a woven cane roof on bulging columns, a muslin screen and a pair of wicker or linen-clad easy chairs. This is where you might spend a large chunk of each evening with a glass of chilled Malvasia in hand, watching distant Stromboli glow red in the setting sun.
