Location

In the heart of the Madonie countryside, lies this 18th century Manor Farm. Its past farm activities still linger in the air scented with wild herbs and flowers. The rolling hills and the sound of cowbells are a soothing backdrop to the swimming pool, the terraces and the hotel’s well-tended gardens.

This charming hotel is strategically positioned to explore the mid-west of Sicily. Palermo, Cefalù, the Greek Temples of Agrigento and the Roman mosaics of Piazza Armerina are just an hour’s drive away. The picturesque villages of the Madonie Mountains such as Polizzi Generosa, Petralia Soprana, Castelbuono, Gangi and Sperlinga are also in the vicinity.

Layout

Two brothers, Tommaso and Manfredi, have transformed their beautiful family owned farmhouse into a welcoming hotel. Respect and memories of their ancestors, traditions and hard work are felt throughout. A large part of the land is still dedicated to olive crops. In fact, between October and November you can take part in the olive picking season.

From the original living quarters of the workmen, 14 comfortable bedrooms were created retaining the original stone and woodwork. They are all located on the ground floor and have a private entrance. They face the property’s garden, which is equipped with chairs and sun loungers.

There is ample space to relax between the rooftop terrace and the well-kept lawn of the courtyard where delicious breakfast and meals are served during the good weather.

• The large swimming pool is secluded and surrounded by scented flowers and herbs, it offers a haven of peace.
• We have tried and tested this little gem for a yoga holiday / retreat, and it worked magnificently. Make sure you book well in advance to have exclusive use of the hotel.
• Manfredi has previously gained experience as a Chef running two restaurants in the Netherlands. His skill at overlooking both his kitchen and the farm with the home-grown produces ensures excellent meals.
• The old “Palmento”, where the wine was once made, still houses the old wine barrels greeting you with their musty smell. Today, it has been turned into a unique wine bar with comfortable sofas in front of the open fireplace.
