This quaint little house has a large rooftop terrace with panoramic views far and wide. Inside, it is snug and cosy providing a romantic hideaway in the countryside by the town of Noto. The recent addition of a pool makes this a perfect romantic hideaway.
La Torretta means turret in Italian, in fact it was a watch tower in the 13th century. Hence the house is positioned on top of a hill and its rooftop terrace has endless views over tree tops and the town of Noto as well as out to sea. The small pool with its stunning views is a refreshing addition where you can soak up the sun and cool down in the water. This lovely hideaway in the deep countryside lies at the end of an unpaved road.
The small shaded area outside the house is perfect for al fresco dining. Immediately inside, is an open space with a simple kitchen in true sicilian style. The living area features a vault built from the typical limestone of this area. The sofa can be opened up into a double bed. The tiny bathroom on the ground floor is another feature as the shower is built into the rock.
The double bedroom is located on the mezzanine which looks down onto the lounge area. From here, yet another feature is the narrow stairway carved in the stone that leads up to the 100 sq meter roof top terrace.
A couple of minutes walk away, is our featured villa with a swimming pool, Il Mandorlo. If you were part of a larger group, you could opt to spread out in the two villas.
