Surrounded by lush gardens the large swimming pool enjoys a great view across the countryside and out to sea – on a clear day you can see the furthest Aeolian Islands such as Alicudi and Filicudi.
This characterful, converted farmhouse on an organic farm, with an inviting private pool and plenty of Sicilian charm is nestled on a hillside close to Cefalù’s lively town-centre and its golden sandy beaches.
More precisely, this villa is in the area of Lascari, near the hilltop town of Collesano, making this the perfect base to explore the seven idyllic and authentic hilltop towns of the Madonie Mountains.
The grounds are covered in olive trees, the location is ideal for mountain scenery and glorious sea views across the Aeolian islands.
Part of Passulunara’s unique appeal is the experience of staying on an organic farm. Here you can pick your own fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden during your stay. Chickens provide fresh eggs and other farm animals such as cows, horses, donkeys and pigs roam nearby.
The villa is situated at the higher end of the estate, accessed via a private entrance. The accommodation is spread over three separate farm buildings clustered together and connected by steps and terraces. It is an ideal setup for those who appreciate an added layer of privacy while on holiday together.
Inside, the villa feels welcoming and colourful. It has been carefully designed to preserve the original features of the farmhouse while updating it enough for modern comfort. There are eight bedrooms in total, each unique in style. Four bedrooms are in the main house, along with a kitchen, sitting and dining areas. The other bedrooms are housed in the two annexes, each one with two bedrooms, kitchenettes and living areas.
Here you can enjoy the garden and terraces in the warm Sicilian sunshine. A marvellous outdoor kitchen and dining area set the scene for long meals together. Head to the large swimming pool and sunbeds for endless hours of summer fun and relaxation.
When you stay at Passulunara, you are within easy reach of pretty mountain villages to explore and long sandy beaches for revitalising days by the sea. Try the town of Lascari nearby for a taste of authentic Sicilian life or head to the impressive town of Cefalu, an easy drive along the coast, for fascinating historic sites and a good choice of restaurants, shops and beach bars.
Please note: A separate building on the estate has a professional kitchen and a large indoor / outdoor space which is available on request for a large event.
Each room and area has been carefully designed by the owner with great use of colours and furnishings giving every space its own individual feel with a careful eye towards the preservation of the original layouts allowing for continuous surprises and unexpected nucks and corners.
