What to expect
We’ll spend some of our time exploring Sicily’s most authentic and undiscovered regions in the south east as well as some of the most renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites. We’ll learn to cook vegetarian style, check out the flora, the fauna, and savor Vendicari’s famous beaches. Our lunches will be taken mostly out the Sicilian way, whilst we relax, wine and dine in style back at the villa most evenings. We’ll head to Mount Etna and then on to Taormina. Some wine tasting and relax, before catching a flight out from Catania on the last day. By the end, you will have connected with new friends and created outstanding new memories to share .

This year Earth day coincides with Easter and the arrival of the beautiful season of Spring which is a great time to come to Sicily as the climate is warm and mild. Earth day tour is an invitation to take yourself off the grid for a couple of hours a day and be completely aware of yourself and your environment in the here & now. Day 1 / 20 April

Arrival and transfers to villa. Meet the group with a welcome cocktail and mingle as you marvel at the sun setting over Vendicari’s nature reserve. A delicious dinner of traditional Sicilian dishes prepared by our very own in-house cook will follow.
Day 2 / 21 April
F E A S T
Easter morning is free to relax and do as you please. After a lazy morning and brunch, we will go to the Baroque town of Noto for the processions, “La Pace”. The lively participation of the locals creates an atmosphere that will take us back a few hundred years. After walking about town, we will go on to enjoy coffee and traditional sweets at the Café Sicilia in this beautiful city which is famous for its Baroque architecture and fascinating history. Dinner will be prepared by our in-house cook at the villa.
Day 3 / 22 April
R A M B L E
On Earth day we will ramble through Vendicari’s Nature reserve, one of Italy’s most authentic and undiscovered regions. We will hike from Marianelli all the way to Eloro checking out the flora, the fauna and savoring the region’s famous beaches. As good guests, we will picnic at Eloro walking lightly on the earth as its other creatures do. In the afternoon we will learn to cook vegetarian style and make preserves feeling inspired by local Sicilian products in season Vegetarian meal in house.
Day 4 / 23 April
E X P L O R E
We’ll wake up bright and early for a full day of exploration in Syracuse. We will discover Syracuse’s ancient Greek heritage and the city of Ortygia as our favorite local guide narrates the story of this incredible city. We‘ll stop by Syracuse’s food market for a relaxing lunch and savor some of the local street food. In the afternoon, we will have some time to meander freely in town wandering about the tiny streets, exploring the waterfront for killer views and browse through the many shops in the old town area. We’ll be back just in time for dinner at the villa.
Day 5 / 25 April
H I K E
Mia would say that a trip to Sicily would not be complete without a feel of Mount Etna. And so, after breakfast we’ll head to Mount Etna for an invigorating walk, allowing ourselves a well-deserved posh lunch on the lower slopes of Etna. We’ll then head up north for the best of Taormina. Here the incredible views from Greek theatre will dazzle you! We’ll take a couple of hours to do some shopping and grab some goodies at the famous Corso Umberto. After the many wonders of this chic town, we’ll meet up with the group in the evening for aperitif from Taormina’s best vantage points at sunset before heading back for our buffet supper in house.
Day 6 / 25 April
W A T C H
Get ready for a guided hike on the south side of the Vendicari nature reserve. Here, we’ll meander through scenic winding paths revealing lush Mediterranean vegetation, alternating between rocky cliffs, breathtaking landscapes, a crystal sea and golden sandy beaches. The ancient remains of the reserve’s former inhabitants are amongst some of the most insightful must-sees! We’ll then take everyone to lunch to a great spot in the reserve. The afternoon will be spent lazing on one of the loveliest and unique beaches of the reserve. Before getting ready for a night out in Noto for a lovely meal at la Manna restaurant.
Day 7 / 26 April
L A Z E
Today, our last full day at the villa and is a day of pure relaxation. Make the most of your morning by spending it by the pool at your leisure. We’ll go wine tasting at the Planeta Winery and vineyards where we will also have lunch and more wine. It’s time to relax on the coast! We will reconvene for our farewell dinner at the villa.

After our last breakfast, transfers to airports before we say farewell. Take all you’ve learned from your authentic Sicilian experience back with you.

the South East Coast of Sicily
Like no other, the South-eastern coast of Sicily is where you find golden beaches and the breathtaking landscapes of Vendicari’s Nature Reserve. The reserve is an ecological hotspot, strategically positioned for the many species of migratory birds that choose this protected area as a stopover before embarking on their long, fascinating and mysterious journey toward the African coasts. Here an entire ecosystem lives undisturbed and is sporadically revealed between the dense vegetation, the clear sea, the rocky cliffs and the deep blue sea. It is also home to a series of UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Val di Noto comprising Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and Caltagirone. These towns epitomize Sicilian Baroque extravagance.
